How would you like to become a Virginia Fly Fishing Festival volunteer? The festival is growing by leaps and bounds, but we need dedicated volunteers to help us continue to grow and provide the best fly fishing festival in the country. If you’d like to help us, please contact us and we’ll be sure to follow up with you.

Volunteers who work a minimum of 4 hours over the two-day event receive free admission for the remainder of the day. You will also receive a free Virginia Fly Fishing Festival t-shirt or hat, and you can buy a discounted ticket to our Foundation Dinner held this year on Saturday April 17 at 6 pm. Volunteers are also able to attend the Vendor Appreciation Pig Pickin’ on Friday night, April 16, at no charge.

Volunteers help with raffle ticket sales, provide minimal security at checkpoints (essentially checking for stamped hands), and are available to answer attendee questions. Volunteers must be at least 21 years of age and no, you don’t have to be a fly angler—but don’t be surprised if we try to convert you!
