Classes At The Virginia Fly Fishing Festival

What classes are available?

Many classes are available to attendees, most of which are free with admission. Classes cover everything from the basics of fly fishing to advanced casting instruction and angling tactics. Some classes may pertain to fly fishing for smallmouth bass on the James River, while others may focus on catching redfish on the North Carolina coast. Lectures are held in 20x20 tents and streamside. There is also an Orvis Instructional Tent dedicated to beginners and those who hope to take their fly fishing experience to the next level.
